据路透社报道，沙特阿拉伯能源大臣阿卜杜勒-阿齐兹·本·萨勒曼在会议上表示，沙特希望与中国合作，而非竞争。谈及西方对沙中两国关系日益密切的“猜疑”，他表示，自己不会理会这些说法。

据了解，此次会议有来自23个国家和地区的3000多名商界和政府代表与会，会议主题确立为“中阿携手、共创繁荣”。法国国际广播电台评论称：“中国与沙特的蜜月期在继续”。
但路透社称，在中沙两国政治关系升温之际，利雅得和北京在安全和敏感技术领域的合作也有所加深，引发美国“担忧”。
But cooperation between Riyadh and Beijing has also deepened in security and sensitive tech amid a warming of political ties - to the concern of the US.
报道由此提到，此次会议上被问及西方对中沙双边关系的批评时，萨勒曼表示:“我不会去理会这些说法，因为……作为一名商人……现在哪里有商机，那就去哪里。”
Asked about criticism of the bilateral relationship during an Arab-China business conference, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said: "I actually ignore it because ... as a business person … now you will go where opportunity comes your way."
