俄乌冲突爆发后，美国等西方国家向乌克兰提供多种武器。美国军火商从中赚取了巨大的利润。

据英国《金融时报》17日报道，美国军工巨头诺思罗普-格鲁曼公司总裁凯茜·沃登在接受该报采访时声称，西方政府应该对军火武器需求发出“明确的需求信号”，以便军火商能提前扩大投资。

The head of one of America’s biggest defence companies has called on western governments to provide a "clear demand signal" if the industry is going to be able to provide the weapons needed for a prolonged conflict in Ukraine.

沃登声称，西方国家的武器库存近期还能支撑乌克兰方面的需求，但如果冲突持续数年，现有的武器库存将会捉襟见肘。

I wouldn't necessarily say that I’ve heard we’re running out, but if you do project forward that we’re going to want to sustain these levels of commitments for another couple of years — that’s certainly not what anyone had built stockpiles to accommodate.

The most important thing now is to get a clear demand signal on what the sustained commitment is and the level of draw down from those stockpiles is going to be.

很多网友表示，沃登这样说，显然是要使俄乌冲突持续甚至扩大。

还有网友嘲讽道，很高兴至少有人问了这样一个问题：“这种情况会发生多久？至少需要几年，对吧？”因为我们真的想制造更多的武器，但我们都非常担心战争停止，它们最终不会被使用。
